This Week at Vine
To keep our students safe please remember:
1) Do not stop until you have pulled up as far as you can.
2) Students need to exit the vehicle from the passenger's side.
3) Students can walk on the sidewalk and enter the main gate or the kindergarten gate.
4) Do not block school buses.
If you need to get out of the car to help your child(ren), please park rather than enter the "drop off" zone.

5th grade outdoor science school
We have made a class dojo class for this year's trip to Outdoor Science School. You should receive the account info with your student's t-shirt on Friday. We will make regular posts to class dojo, that is the best place to stay up to date with the happenings of Vine students at Outdoor Science School. We will also make occasional posts here as well.
A message from Dr. Aguilar-Torres
Dear Vine Families,
We have now completed our first and second trimesters. If you are having concerns regarding your child's academic success, please contact your child’s teacher to arrange a meeting.
We are continuing to implement a rigorous cross-curricular writing program and rigorous task design strategies in all of our classrooms. Our focus this year has been to incorporate technology as a tool when learning. We are preparing our students for the CAASPP test. Our testing window is from April 10 through May 13, 2016.
I along with every member of the Vine staff is committed to ensuring that we provide the best possible education for your child so that someday they can go off to college. As many of you know, this is not something you can just wake up one day and decide to do. It takes years of preparation to be able to compete academically at the college level and it starts here in elementary school. Our country has hundreds of colleges and universities where our Vine students could thrive and contribute their ideas someday.
A big "Thank You" to all of our volunteers. If you would like to volunteer in the class room, make sure you come by the office to pick up the District Volunteer form. I will sign it and then, Nancy will instruct you as to where to go next.
